I have a CC Pheonix 45A ESC in my MT...and crashed recently 2x due to programming.

1st time it did a "hard" cut-off after a punch out as it sensed the drop in voltage in the pack...cut off the motor and it dropped out of the sky.. I was running crappy Apex 2100mAh 15c lipos and that was the cause...now have TP eXtremes...

...2nd time was after guessing the settings, even had the LH hotshot set them with me (Laptop and had Heli in the shop)...well had something wrong and the headspeed was so low it had no tail control in hover and went down...just spun around and I'm not good enough to control a spinning heli yet.

I have the USB link cable so I plan to make another attempt as soon as I get some suggestions from people running the same thing. I'll just program it in...plust maybe others with this setup can benefit from the sharing.

My Motor is a Z-Power Z10A outrunner (Great motor BTW for 70.00) with ThunderPower eXtreme 2200mAh 25c 3s lipos.

I have the mini with the cc45 controller and the stock tt motor. Make sure the first thing is to program it and use the fixed endpoints mode first. get that set then you can use gov mode. Finless has a good vieo for the hv cc85 that is very close to what you need to do to set it up. it will help alot. Here is my seting the best i can recall.
Brake Ramp: Super Slow
Cutoff Voltage: Auto Li-Po (*)
Hex55: 85
Brake Strength: 0
Direction: Forward (*)
Spool-Up Speed: 2
Throttle Type: Heli: Fixed Endpoints
Current Limiting: Insensitive
Brake Delay: .6 sec (Delayed) (*)
Motor Start Power: 59
Throttle Response: 5
Motor Timing: Standard Advance (*)
Cutoff Type: Soft Cutoff
PWM Rate: 13khz (*)
Governor Gain: 50

This is what i used to get started and i would have to pull out the heli and compter to check now but its in gov high now. i do love that cc45 esc.
also make sure its using the 1.56 firmware version.
Hop this helps. let me know.

Of course radio setup is another thing that will need to be setup. I am using a dx7 with a ar6100v1.2 rx.
