I talked with Paul today supper Guy. Hotels are on the expensive side due to hurricanes, but he said once you get there you may get local rates. Right now it 109-130 a night. If some one wants to room up let me know I know Rodney is driving to and from. Paul said its going to be BIG some world champ is going to be there 3 flying fields at once FAI,3D,Scale and vendors, the food is from the local school catering group he said it out of way of thing so no resections fly whenever to whenvever.morning noon night.

Rodney my fury is pretty much done the canopy just got done and the clear or some paint will have to dry for like a week though and my raptor will be done by this wekend for sure maybe even tommarrow. mY raptor will be all ready to fly though cause it has all the stuff from the venture 50 so the engine is already broken in and ready to go. Now all we have to do is find a hotel that isnt so expensive!

PORT CHARLOTTE FUN FLY HOTEL INFORMATION





Due to extensive damage from Hurricane Charley, the hotels are very limited. The ones that are open, unfortunately, prefer to take walk-ins instead of reservations. The contractors generally go home on the weekends, so therefore, many do have rooms. We were able to secure four hotels, each around 20- 30 miles to the field. If you need a room, here are the three (4) that would block rooms for us.

I'm almost in the same boat. 4 1/2 hours home from work, and hour to you, then 7 hours there. And then I have to be back to work monday morning in NC.
