Does anyone know anything about the Accu-cycle elite charger..... I am considering purchasing one, because it's AC/DC does more than one Lipo and price seems reasonable. Or, is there anything better I may be missing.

I've had one for a year or two. You can charge two batteries simultaneously, and you can also use temp probe to ahlt charging if the battery heats up excessively. Mine was easy to learn to use and has been bullet proof. I use it for Li-poly charging, as well as cycling and charging my glow plug drivers and Nimh packs.

Does it have a balancer too, or do I need a separate one ?

i run the accu-cycle and love it. had it for about 2 years now and like jgun said its almost bullet proof. i run equinox balancers inline with the accu-cycle. its nice that it plugs right in with banna plugs and its very easy to use. voltage, mah, time read outs. everything is adjustable and easy to read on the screen. the only downfall is the 2.0 amp max charge rate and only up to 3 lipo/li-ion cells. :?

Yeah, I wondered about the max amps, but I don't "plan" on getting any bigger than 3 cells, but you never know.

thats what i said a couple years back when i messed around with micro cars and trucks.. man i wish i had built helis back then rather than crappy micro rcs..
but, with the higher charge rate and cell count chargers come with the price. have you found any chargers that are ac/dc and charge at higher amps and cell counts??

No, but I am looking before I buy...... and yeah, I kind of thought about that after I said it, the little Blade CP pro was where I was going to stop and how many dollars later.... Plus the align batteries for the 450 V2 are already 2100 mAh, so I am at capacity already. I really want Ac/Dc, but I could always get a converter.

i know people make their own converters out of old computer parts, but have ya found a decent priced converter?

All you have to do is buy a multiplug adapter, from auto parts store. it's going to be putting out 12 V no matter how many you hook up. Or if you are using Dean's connectors, they make one that's already one input two output.
