Any word yet on the status of the carbon fiber airfilter that MA is working on? Is that something for sure or just up in the air right now? Thans.
THEY ARE WORKING ON IT , IN A ABOUT A MONTH

I originally expected these to be available in February, and that probably won't be too far from being right.
It will be smaller than the pictured K&N and MUCH lighter. The filter will be sandwiched between carbon plates, with the outer one having a milled engraving

There will be some pictures posted on MA's website next week of the prototypes. There will be more than one version, in different finishes and with different engraved logos.
I think the price was $29.95 but that will be confirmed next week as well

Tim had one of the sample air filters for the gas engine at the event in Statesboro this past weekend. It looks really sharp. It is really light, I would guess about 5 ozs, maybe less. After everyone looked at it , there was some suggestions. Not for the construction of the air filter, it looks very good. The outer piece is going to be etched ( engraved) with a design. We also convinced Tim to do some custom ones. MA will customize the cover with your name or whatever you would like for an additional cost.
The air filter is going to be $30 according to what Tim was saying at the event. If you want some custom engraving , it will probably be an additional $5 to $10.

I've posted some pictures of the prototype air cleaners on the store site for your review.
Fits all the currently available gas helicopters even your go-ped!
For an extra charge, the engraved design on the air cleaner face can be customized using your own design.
here's one of the pics

Carey,
What kind of velocity stack (diameter ID and OD measurements) is needed to fit MA's filter? Looks great!
Thanks!

It just bolts right on the carb withthe bolts that hold the carb on. No stack needed. At least that is how it looked to me.

Like Will said, it bolts right to the carburetor using the stock carb bolts. No heavy mounts are needed.
