i hear from the site that the align batteries are no bueno. i hear the airthunder are a sweet choice, anyone have a recomendation? i have had a few "cheap" liths and after two charges they end up 2 inches around!!!!!!!! and thats after a single 1 minute hover and a slow charge on a super brain 977. Any hints or suggestions?

I use Eflite so far and I work in 119 degree temps and have not puffed a pack yet. The motors and batteries get extremely hot when we fly but everyone in our club is real careful about letting our bats cool before charging them, we stick them in the fridge for about 15 mins before we charge.

IMO, Align packs suck. I'v got two 6S2P 4400 packs that puffed with 5 and 11 cycles respectively. BOTH of my Align 3S1P packs puffed with 2 cycles each - one of them while it was sitting at storage charge levels. All 4 were charged on a TP1010C/TP210 combo and were never discharged to less than 80% of capacity.

I've got a couple Air Thunder 3S1P packs with 4 cycles each on 'em. No problems so far. I've got 4 Thunderpower 3s 2100 packs with close to 20 cycles each. Zero problems thus far.

No problems with my 6S1P FlightPower EVO25s either.

I have an Align 4400mAh 6s2p with an easy 50 cycles on it with no problems. I also have a MegaPower 4400mAh with the same 50 cycles, it is now starting to puff a little which sucks cause batteries are the most expensive thing to replace in this hobby.
