Hey guys,

Im starting to do my research on which Fury helicopter i will be buying...ive heard of people ordering their Tempests with Extreme heads.....what are the benefits of running the FAI frames with the Extreme head?......how much is it ordered this way?.......is it worth the extra money over the Fury Extreme?

Also id like to know what everyones setup is as far as heli.

Vance,
The geometry on the Tempest frames is better than the geometry on the Extreme frames. That is how the Tempest came about, was to correct a geometry anomaly on the Fury frames.
Here is the choices you have.

Tempest 3D G10 frames tail rotor on left side
Tempest FAI Carbon frames tail rotor on right side

You can get either of those kits with an Extreme head if that is what you want. You will have to special order it thru an MA dealer. I am not positive but having the Extreme head in the kit instead of the Tempest heads, probably lowers the price about $150 from the cost of the kit.

The Tempest FAI kit will also come with the machined tail rotor pitch slider assembly
The 3D kit will have the Extreme style tail pitch slider assembly.
The kits now come with the new open style gear box.
