After spending last week breaking in packs and fine tuning the gryo and head all I can say is this thing rocks!

Today I really beat it up and it just flew great. There were two dumb thumb incedents where I know I would have wadded up my Trex 450 but the H550 was more visable, stable and had more float to it so I just flew it out of my error and kept on going.

I had sold my 450 and my 2nd 600 to get the Hurricane and a 450V2. Now I am taking my V2 money and buying as many FP2500's packs as I can.

:woohoo

I HATE THIS BIRD!!!!! :)
Today I've crashed once again :( f%#ing 61 rear gear striped once again
:arggg: :arggg: :arggg:
Everityhing was cool! I've just fine tune my power system and then... :arggg: :arggg: :arggg:
It was not so high and autorotation was hard!
Finally broke landing gear and maybe bent shafts :arggg: :arggg: :arggg:
But when it is fly, it is flying like a dream! I also sold all my 450's

Good to hear ;-)

How much do i like it?
Well i considered selling my 450 and my blinged compy300 just to get some extra money for upgrade parts. But it's a pain lol...i like my 450 just as much as the H550. And i fly it often as well...I see it as my trainer. Whatever i can do on the 450 I for sure can do it on the H550. And it feels better on the H550
So the compy300 has to leave soon. Considering selling my old Arcade video cabinet's....my wife is next on the list  kidding.

Adrian, would you be so kind telling me your set-up at this moment? I'm still fiddling my shopping list "what to buy" for uprading my H550.
(Or you can post in in the "Power systems that work" thread?)

Still considering the motor and lipo choice.
I'm hoping Finless managed to get some testing done as well this weekend.

Sorry to hear Pirinha. At least you can crash...i dont even get it up in the air right now...waiting for my dx7 to arrive in the U.S. for repair

wishlist so far:

CF main blades (check)
alu mainblade grips
motor
upgraded motor mount including new oneway shaft
lipo's + new charger
Revco gears :D
raptor paddles
tail rotor upgrade (raptor?)

Thanks
Maurice

Dutch - I just posted my setup in theb power systems thread. Nothing special...lots of Hurricane pilots flying the same stuff.

Piranha - The RevCo gears will be at www.ReadyHeli.com next week. They will not strip in flight if you have the new motor mount and longer 1st gear shaft :glasses2:

Even though I do have several other helis, none as big as the Hurricane though, lately the only one I am flying is my Hurricane. It is such fun and being that it is bigger, for older folks like myself, it is so much easier to see. :glasses2:

Plus it is just a little more docile and forgiving when you make those inevitable oops :dontknow when flying.

Hi Adrian! I'm waiting for your gears on readyheli
I have new motormount and longshaft but the problem is on the second (rear) gear! I hope your gear would be much stronger!
