i am pretty new to helicopters but have been flying planks for years. i have a futaba 9zwc2 radio and a raptor 30 with 401 obviously. anyways i am learning i have crashed a few times nothing major but i had been running carbon blades on it at first and i decided that i did not want to brake them as i came close once and put a set of woody's on it. i have only broken some plastic parts so far!! anyways as i am still on a major learning curve every flight i am learning something new and i am just getting into aerobatics. here is my problem. if i am moving forward with some speed and give half to full right rudder the tail moves anywhere from 45 to 90 degrees and stops and kinda like sticks there but i keep holding full rudder and it finally turns 180. if i continue to hold the right rudder it will keep turning. now if i am hovering and pirouette it will turn just fine. and this problem does not happen to the left. today i started hovering inverted and when i would right myself the tail would completely unlock and weather vane. the seems to happen whenever i do a roll the tail gets loose. any help or a starting point would be great.

thanks in advance

One of two things.
You have the gain too high on the gyro.

Or you have the ATV's on the rudder channel too low.

Or it is both.

my gain is at 50% and the rudder atv is 100% both ways. would this be to much? thank you for the help.

How far is the ball out on the servo horn/wheel?
How far out from the pivot point are you connected on the tail lever?

All of this makes a difference how much gain is being used and how much ATV is needed.

With the 401, I usually run at least 120% ATV on the rudder channel to get the piro rate I prefer.
