Hope someone can give me some advice here.I am building a swift and cannot get the bladegrips to feel as free as I think they should. actually, one of them feels OK but the other feels a little tight.I am sure that it is assembled right,I have taken it apart three times. If both were tight ,I would think that it is a tolerance problem. Thanks for any advice. todd

Just a thought, hold the head in one hand and pull on the tight blade grip fairly hard just to make sure all the bearings are seated. Do same for the other side. If that didn't work take the tight one apart and swap the two races of the thrust bearing around. You may have a tolerance issue with the thrust bearing. Try moving the thrust bearing into the opposite grips and see if the problem moves too.

check the thrust bearing is not catching on the grip. The fit is real tight. I had to do a little sanding of the inner thrust washer (the one that moves opposite the grip.
This did the trick for mine

You know there are different races for the inner and outer thrust bearing. The inner one must be loose on the shaft and tight in the grip and the outer one must be tight on the shaft and loose in the grip. If they are not installed this way they will bind. Check this out before you do any modifications to the races.
