Hey Guys........ I've run out of room flying in my garage.....anyone know of any places to fly (electrics) indoors in Indianapolis ? I've considered talking to the proprieter of a local indoor skateboard park (doesn't open to boarders till noon and even my crashes would do less damage than a skateboard)

(Still patiently awaiting the shipment of the 3D hummingbird  )

Any suggestions? Dave

Hawk:
I live in ND and winter is HARSH! My husband and I go to Fargo and fly inside an indoor driving range for golf. We get the whole place to ourselves (and other RC'rs) for 2-3 every-other Wednesday night.
Occasionally, we'll also fly inside one of the college gymnasium...UND's Hyslop. Ever since they built the Ralph Englstad hockey arena there's been plenty of availablity at the old gyms.

I agree with bighands...go with a T-Rex 450X. It rocks!!!!!!!

Hawk,
PM or email MarkFadely here on Helifreak.
He lives in Fishers on the north east side of Indianapolis.

As Whirly-Girl mentioned most of my friends that are in the hobby in the north. They fly electrics at golf domes during the winter months. These are indoor driving ranges. I understand they will lease the dome from like 10 pm till 4 am and fly indoor combat with Zagi's and such. They also fly electric helis. Might check out and see if there is a group in your area using a golf dome.

Our club had an electric event scheduled for the local golf dome. The insurance carrier killed the idea once they found out. It seems they were afriad of the props and rotors doing damage to the bubble. This particular dome has been leveled twice. I can see why they would be worried.
