A local friend that bought a HDX500, got it a couple of days ago. I am helping him set it up and we are having a problem with getting the pitch servo working with his radio. He has a Hitec Optic 6 TX and a Hitec Electron 6 REC. Seems that no matter which swash type we set it for, we cannot get the pitch servo on channel 6 to work.
If we move his gear switch (which is suppose to be mapped to channel 5) the Pitch servo moves, so the servo is ok. Also I noticed that his Elev and Ail servos move with the sticks seperately, however, I would think when I move the ail stick both the ele and the ail servos should move opposite of each other and the do not.
When I move the pitch stick both the ele and ail servos move, but the pitch servo does nothing.
We have tried both swash types, NOR and 120 on his radio. Reset the radio to defaults also, was no help.
He has a spare receiver and we tried that and had the same results.
If this turns out to be a radio problem, what radio/receiver would you suggest ?
He already has 3 HS81MG servos and 3 Futaba S3150 Digital servos he would like to use.
