hey guys, here in a few days when i get back to the states i will be putting together my new x-spec. it is used so all i have to do is the normal, install head and tail boom..
my question is what schould i expect from the heli? i have raptors and predators but thought i would try my hand at the x-spec. Sluggo talks very highley of the heli's and Augusto's vids are just unreal with the tail, so naturally i had to get one. how is the x-spec "group of guys" i know with century, pretty much all the guys, reps, will help out in any way possible. is hirobo the same?
i just want to get a good feal for the hirobo klan.. and i do believe i will really love the heli!!

thanks guys!!!

You'll love the X-spec. It really doesn't need any support. Once people clean off their glasses they can see how good it is for theirselves.

Pepper,
You will not find HANDS DOWN any better support than Jeff Green at MRC Altec.
Here is a fine example and one of many....
I had a tail grip come apart on my Sceadu a few weeks ago. Could have been damaged in my last crash, but I wasn't sure.
I sent Jeff a picture of the grip and a quick note saying I was not sure if the plastic failed or the pilot/mechanic missed a broken part. :D
Within 24 hours Jeff had replied, asked me for a parts list and had ALL of the broken tail parts out to me.
I am installing the new tailbox, output shaft and Grips today. Total of about 40.00 in parts I think for ZERO, NADA, NOTHING all because of Jeff and MRC's support of this hobby.

Now I dare anyone to find a company/importer that backs products like Jeff and MRC.

I know MinAir is pretty close, but they won't ship out free parts on a "I think" basis for sure. Not knocking them they are a much smaller company.

BTW no I am not a rep or anybody special. Just a consumer and not alone with this kind of treatment.

Now as for flying... ROCK SOLID. The X-spec is a fine helicopter among many fine ships we have these days.
Expect very stable flights with predictable responses and very crisp feel.
If I was in the market for another 90 class ship I would be shopping Hirobo without a doubt.

Once again I have to agree with fitenfyr. Jeff G. has the best customer service in the RC helicopter industry PERIOD. I've seen two fellow club pilots benefit from his generousity when it comes to replacement parts. Now, is that the ONLY reason I fly Hirobo? Heck no. The heli's fly fantastic to boot!!! Seems like they are super stable in the hover yet can be VERY responsive at the same time.

I think you'll be very happy with your X-Spec experience :)

I second that. Jeff does MRC a huge justice. (does that sound right?) :D

Jeff has helped me a time or two. If you consider the $$ the Freya and Xpec are a great value. I haven't seen many machines that I dislike but they all have their pro and cons. Once you learn the machine you can really enjoy it.
