well i did my first complete rebuild of my raptor 50 V2.
thought it would be more complicated then it actually was.
had the bird in the air for 3 tanks yesterday.
wanted to test things out after the rebuild.
its flying real nice.
cant wait to take her up again.
just wanted to say thanks to the raptor freaks.
searching through this forum pretty much answered all my questions

Ouch, glad its flying again.
You have to love the Raptors. They go together so easy. Its just a simple, effective design that flies great

yeah
was really surprised how fast and easy it went back together.
ran those 3 tanks through it and on the post flight everything looks good.
even the screw that made me crash is holding good.
i put some CA on all the screws.
if i have to do another rebuild ill have to use a saws all to take it apart .....lol

Which screw backed out and caused the crash?

this screw right here.
first time it backed out.
replaced with a screw from my garage that actually broke in half. :arggg:
when i replaced the frame from the last crash
i used CA on every screw including the new elevator control arm.
havnt had any problems since .

good work! glad there is hope for it. my raptor looked exactly like yours a few days ago, i am in the process of a rebuild too. the crash was so bad that i actually cracked my crankcase and head. the engine has been rebuilt and runs smooth :D now i am just waiting on the rest of my heli parts.

Thats the thing I swear about Raptors,
They are crashworthy buggers.
You can say what you want about the Newer technology Helis that fly better, and they probably do, but stick a Align Nitro in the ground and it's crying time :badair:  :arggg:
When a Raptor turns Craptor it's no big deal most of the time, there tuff birds and take a beating.

True story. My Titan's been sitting for awhile. I had been flying/working on other stuff. I was struck immediately when I went through it getting it ready to fly what a good design it is. It was like a relief to get back to it.

I took mine out flying last night. What a pleasure. I forgot how much power this thing has with a Hyper 50 and CY Muscle pipe. Its a real rocket!

Kama,
Thank you for posting which screw backed out. I have been checking that on and the others frequently.
So far, I have had the one landing gear screw back out.
I have also had the screws on the aileron and elevatore servos work slightly loose (this may be from the grommets compressing over time).
I also and using a drop of CA on the ends of the screws going into the plastic.

Yeah those Raptors are realy hard to kill.
Few days ago a friend crashed an Avant, - one servo horn screw to metal gear collective servo backed out. :arggg: I do quite frequent checks on my Raptor just in case.
