Hey all.

These are some shots from the weekend. Taken with an A640. Obviously they have been resized, but I'm just wondering if the photo quality itself looks alright? Is it what I should expect from the A640? Or can better be had? Thoughts/suggestions?

Just not sure if I need to fiddle further with the heli/camera setup, or if where it's at now is what I'm aiming for.

Thanks guys.

Your white balance appears a little off and the exposure seems just a touch too long but its not a terrible photo.. Do you have or use any professional editing software or just what windows or mac supplies by default. You can rework the photo a little in a professional editor and improve its quality some.

The focus is ok around the subject matter but the rest of the area surrounding it is slightly out of focus.. Not a bad effect for some scenes but sometimes in landscaping shots its undesirable. You might try a few manual focus flights and mess around with infinity vs somewhere in between. They're not a bad photo tho.. but you can make them better:)

The last photo has the best color composition and overall best focus and white balance. It was taken from a lower vantage point so the camera may be susceptible to reflected light from bright objects.

I think the photos look great. a little grainy but I am guessing thats because of the pix size. have you ben at this for a while?

Wa11banger:

Thank you very much for your thoughts. will have a fiddle with the manual focus and see what I can sort out. I have Photoshop that I can use to retouch the photos, I just wasn't exactly sure what I need to touch up :P

Dion:

The photos aren't *too* grainy. I've attached another photo with a 100% blow up to show the actual pixels. I've been doing some aerial work for around six months now, experimenting with different things/setups. Finally now just starting to get some paid work.

Thanks again guys
