Anyone come up with a better way to mount, it just dont appear to be set good. The frame slots dont look like they line up right either and I took it apart 3 times, I'm sure they are right but slots look obstructed by plate and motor.............Thouths

I think youmight have the plate right underneath the motor mounted incorrectly. try flipping it over.

You may have the top plate on upside down. If you do the slots will not work right.

Nope liek I said the plate is right, the thing just dont seem to set nice, and needs what I think is a tad to much force to get it in. Davidson the pick dont display so I cant see it. I was wondering if anyone changed the way it mounted or found it to be tough to seat.

Loose the four bolts, they don't have to be very tight on the tubing, too tight and they will not seat

Has anyone ever tried just a pully and a rope? You know, like the old mini-bikes and lawn mowers used to have. A pully with a slot in it, a rope with a knot, put the knot into the slot, wrap the rope around the pully and pull! No electric start needed, no recoil assembly to carry around.
What ya' think?

You got a oversensitive firewall or something Brett? The pic displays find here. Dave's pic shows the right lineup for the plates. If your pull starter goes on at all, your plates are right.
Why not just top start it? I have never installed the pull starter, no need.
