I have 9252's all the way around, but I have stripped the throtle servo
twice. Checked end points, they are good. Could th GV-1 be doing it?

I'm assuming that you have set the low/hover/high settings on the GV1?
An easy way to test what it does, is to select the menu item for TST, this will let you test the 3 servo positionsl. If its not overdriving it, then its unlikely the governor doing it.
Whats the model usually doing when the servo strips?

I am new to the gasser side with no local support so Iam on my own.
I have been fighting this thing since I put it together. All I have done with
it so far is forward flight . friday nite the carb came loose, my inexperence
showed up , landing was alittle rough with a boom strike, so iwll have to get
it put back together before I can go any further.

Use a cheap analog servo with plastic gears for the throttle. I found that a digital servo or a servo with metal gears doesn't last as long on the throttle. Something to do with vibrations coming back to the servo from the engine my guess.
I have a JR 527 at the moment in mine on the throttle and its been lasting quite some time, close to a year and over 100 flights so far.

Im glad to know that a cheapo on the throttle works well.
I was sure I had heard that b4, but couldnt find mention of it again.
I have a cheap Hitec HS325HB on throttle and was a bit worried, but didnt have the cash right there for a digital.

Got it back together finally, now I have a nasty vibration. All new shafts, plus head block.
Not to bad in norm, but bad in idle-up .
