I was thinking about lift efficiency and rotor vibrations, and thought has anyone used a scale rotor head on an AP platform. 3 or 4 blades?
Surely I am not the first to think of this

I've thought of it. That's what prompted me to convert my Raptor 50 to flybarless. I just have not put a multi head on in yet.
In my experience in full scale helis, the more blades they had the smoother the flight. No reason to expect anything different on our equipment.
There is always the cost factor to consider.
The flybarless R50 looks sweet. have you flown it yet? do you have a thread on going flybarless? Did you go v-stab?
right now I live in the trex450 class heli so multirotor is out unless I custom make it. If I go up to a logo10 I would then have to look at what the scale guys are doing to see what is available and how much extra cost is involved.
