http://www.extremepowersystems.net if their Futaba module doesn't fit you can use the soon-to-be-released Universal module.

Got a time table on the soon-to-be - released?

Is the defintion of soon anytime within the next year?

David you know how it goes with XPS, it's always just about 2 weeks away, for a few months  They have proven though that in the end they do deliver and the product is working well according to end-user reports. My guess is that the Universal module will be out within six to eight weeks but we won't really know unitl the day they start shipping. Are the Futaba units shipping yet ? The XPS units for JR and Futaba/Hitec have been for months :)

That XPS Kool-aid must be real smooth. Reading some of the posts on RCGroups in the company sponsored forum is really amusing. I really never see a straight answer to any of the questions.

Yup, JD's responses are vague at times, often deliberately so. I don't like all his marketing techniques but the proof is in the pudding. Are you suggesting the product doesn't work ?

Never said the product doesn't work. Other than it transmits and recieves, it is similar to other brands.

Just that he must have majored in a television evanlegist course some where. To hear him , you would think he is a Jim Baker, Jimmy Swaggert, etc. etc.

Must be something about being named Jim that brings out that trait in people.

Most company owners, instead of being vague, they usually just remain quiet. Seems to work well for others.

With JR and Futaba starting to roll out there 2.4ghz radios and modules, XPS will be relegated to the history books.

Its hard to develop and market a product like this unless you have a boat load of cash and a lot of talented people on staff.

Nope. The only 2.4Ghz System that are compatible are Spektrum and Jr.

That is a big call. Personally I disagree. With over 20 years experience in high tech R&D I would say that in engineering R&D terms these are simple products and you only need a small team of talented people and a fairly small budget to bring them to market. XPS have already proven this to be so by getting there ahead of any of the major players and are are selling stock as fast as they can build it.

I don't think they are much threatened by the products from JR, Spektrum or Futaba. JR are not offering 2.4GHz modules for existing Tx and odds are if they do they will be rebadged Spektrum units. Both the Spektrum and Futaba modular solutions are much more expensive than XPS and by design unable to offer any of the advanced features that XPS has already let alone those they will be adding over time. So you pay more and get less. For many brand loyalty or the confidence of a long established company will influence their choice. For many others, price and features will play a significant role.

It will take many years before the market for 2.4Ghz modules is exhausted and I think XPS will take a healthy share of that business. Whether their line of Tx eventuates and can compete is perhaps more uncertain but again will be driven by features, price and proven performance as well as perception of the brand.

Caotri - All the 2.4Ghz systems are proprietary and will only work with their own Rx. So if you buy an XPS module only XPS Rx can be used.
