Well I spent the entire day building my Spectra and its now ready for the electronics.

I have been keeping up with my documentation and doing a ton of photo's as I go so it will probably be a pretty lengthy Article.

I did find that printing the manual helped but the resolution on the diagrams isnt all that great.

I had one problem and a quick call to MA got the correct parts on the way, it seems some of the blind nuts that are suppose to be 3mm are the same as the 2.5 mm just like the servos. I ended up with 5 of them that are wrong. MA is sending me some new ones but rather than wait I ran a 3mm tap through them and all is well. They said they have seen a couple of others with this problem, it appears the insertion tool used is the same for the 2.5 and 3.0, anyway someone got them mixed up a bit.

The build went real smooth and I have taken alot of time doing the documentation and photos for the article.

Hopefully I will get the electronics all mounted tomorrow and will fire her up this weekend.

I still need to send the canopy out to Rick and get a cool paint job done as well.

More to come.. BTW Those build up videos are too cool !!! Way to go guys !

Hey also is it common tohave a pretty good pile of extra hardware :?:

Awesome Racer! I'm looking forward to the article. Where are you going to post it? I'm looking at getting a Spectra G in a few months when I get back to the states.

Not sure if it will be posted or will be in publication form.

Keep your head down and get back safe and quick, maybe we can do a tag team as I'm scheduled to cross the pond in August :arggg:

Hey how about finishing it up over there so I can kick back when I get there

You will LOVE the Spectra G, I may never fly Glow Fuel again !

I'm trying bud, so many insurgents, so little time:)
Do you know where you're going? I'm in 10th SFG. We've been staying pretty busy so the time has been going by fast this time - this is my third tour here. Anyway, I look forward to the Spectra G and hope you can get that documentation finished up so I can benefit from it when I get the chance to build mine.
Take it easy Craig,
Joe
