Hi there. I may have gotten some wrong information when placing an order...and I need to know what the right solution is. I'm using a JR9303 TX and my electric helicopter combo came with an Electron 6 dual conversion RX. I specified that I needed the JR shift...which I understood to be positive. What I received is a negative shift RX and crystal. I opened the box, plugged in my servos and things either weren't working or a servo went to one extreme...that's when I noticed the shift that I actually received.
The customer service rep where I ordered the heli combo told me that since the RX is dual conversion, shift isn't a factor. Is this true? Or did I get hosed?
Also, I'm really not familiar with the Hitec receiver channels. I'm used to JR labeling everything. Can anyone tell me specifically what Ch. 1-6 is? ie - Ail, Elev, ... , gyro gain, collective.
Thanks in advance for the TRUTH.

I have both a electron and a 9303 and shift does matter. You need the positive shift reciever. Yes the channels go in the same order your other JR receivers go in 1 aileron 2 throttle, and so on. check your JR manual for order of frequiencies.

Well the customer service rep was hosing you. Dual conversion is a function does from the RX crystal to receiver.
Shift is a big factor in what works and what doesn't.
Futaba and Hitec are the same shift. Futaba transmitter will talk to a Hitec receiver and vice versa.
JR and Airtronics are the same shift
That is how the Hitec Brand receivers work
Futaba/Hitec Same shift
JR/Airtronics Same shift
The only difference between the receivers on the same shift is the receptable configuration for the servo plugs.

Also FYI
A dual conversion RX crystal is required for a dual conversion receiver.
A single conversion RX crystal is require for a single conversion receiver.
One style will not work in the other style receiver.
DeeTee only has the Futaba style Electron6 in stock according to there web page.
I would think the JR version of the Electron6 is on Backorder. That is probably why you was sent a Futaba version when you needed a JR version.

Thanks Raptordude, I called HH today and Nikki is taking care of it personally. She's actually one of the gals I've got in the women's network which is building...I think we're up to 8 now. :glasses2:
She is shipping out the correct RX right away along with a free heat sink for my Eflite 4200kv motor...and refunding my shipping for sending the wrong RX/crystal back.
I'll keep you in mind next time I'm looking!
