Today I picked up my new specrrum dx6.I know that reading the manual is the first place to start.Quickly going over it,it seams so compliaced.Where would be a good place to start? What settings are yuo using?I am using it with a stock cpp.As far as the mounting the receiver, did you mount it right where you took off the stock receiver?I see that the antenna wire is to be positioned at 90 degrees, can it secure the 2 wires from the receiver to the other wires without interference? Also while reading the binding process, its says to Power on the receiver by connecting the battery to any unused port. My ? is which battery?the heli battery? or the battery from the tx?
Thanks all

Just power it on normally with the ESC, no separate battery needed. with the bind plug in place the receiver will not send any commands until the radio gets powered on with the bind button pushed in. Make sure all your controls are set the way you want them while you do the bind..

enjoi man, i was stoked when i got mine in awhile back.. a few things to keep in mind
a) READ THE BOOK before you start messing with things
b) when you trim your heli out make sure the throttle hold switch isnt ON. will only change your trim settings for throttle hold. when you switch it off to fly your trims will be different..
3) READ the book AGAIN !!!!!
here are some settings i use that feel good for me
ccpm needs to be turn on
i think the channels are 2,3 and 6.. i will post what order in the mourning.. but the ccpm settings are -80, +80, +35.. in that order ..
throttle curves
normal mode-- 0 with the stick all the way down. read the book on throttle curves..neways..
normal mode, 0, 45, 85
idle up, 97, 50, 97.. i dont fly much in idle up so i havent tuned it.. normal mode throttle curve i have messed around with alot. it flys smooth and doesnt bob. has plenty of power to stop the heli on a dime when i want it to.. also enough punch to give me a easy controlable climbout if i get messed up on a landing.. if you need anymore help.. or have any questions my cpp flys almost perfect for me now that i figured out the throttle hold trim crap..hit me up with a pm...it is very confusing but once you get it going. just learn one thing at a time. like throttle curves. do a small change then go fly. with the stock radio and the heli floating up and down. it was a matter of headspeed. increasing my midstick throttle from 35 to 45 got rid of it..

Hey all,I do have a ? for anyone.I noticed that when I move the throttle stick from bottom to mid point the swash plate is moving up and at 1/2 threttle the servo and swash plate begin to down.Is this right?if not what do I need to do to correct this problem?
Thanks fellas

your in idle up mode, or throttle hold.. i cant think right now wich way it should move for what.. but in order to get + pitch you need to move the stick up. if you move it up and the blades start moving towards the ground then its backwards and what you do to fix that is going into your ccpm settings. then select ccpm 6 , then remeber where it is set at now. then just change the valve ue from either - or +.
for example
if i move the stick up down and apply positive pitch i go into ccpm then to ccpm6 ( pitch) then change the number from lets say its a +25 to a -25 and then everything works.. this was aexample of how to fix your problems

I think it's right.
On the CP Pro, the swash moves DOWN to increase the collective and UP to decrease it

all that sounds good. but ive read that if you setup using the horizon settings it makes for a very sluggish heli. the pitch and throttle curves are correct. but as for anything else id look around more.. i run my ccpm at -80, +80, -35
