well im looking at both of these helis for my next. i would like a nitro 50, but i also would like a larger electric.

price range isnt far off for RTF.

but my biggest concern is space. idk if i have enough space to fly a 50 size nitro. i have 2 soccer fields and a baseball field. i also have another field with 4 soccer field side by side, but all of these have trees and benches in between. also with big light poles.

every now and then, maybe once a month i can get to an actual AMA flying field but i want to fly more than once or twice a month.

so what route do you think i should i take????

what do you fly now? a 30 would be best for confined space and makes a great transition copter when stepping up from a 450.

well right now im flying my 450SE V1. i can do tic-tocs, kaos, funnels, blade scuffs, tail slides, and im working on inverted backward hurricanes. so i want the power to weight ratio of a 50, but im kinda limited on space.

the difference between a 30 and a 50 is not much so its your call, slimer or electric

I choose electric every time.

i think the only differences between a 30 and 50 is the 50 is alittle bigger, can run 600mm blades, and the higher power to weight ratio.

well the reason i ruled out the 600E was cost and efficiency. it would cost me about 800.00 more to setup a 600E than the 550, and 500 more to setup a 600N than the 550. so with alL the stuff i would put on a 600E. i would have to buy a new charger and balancer, plus all the stuff i need for a larger electric. plus i already have the 2 batts i would use for the 550.

I dont think the trex 600n will have the power to weight of a strong hurricane 550. I know my knight 50 does not have the power to weight of a 450 or a 30 size electric heli.

As for a place that you can fly, you stand a better chance of being able to fly anywhere with an electric. Where as anymore with the nitro you are being more and more limited by society and there objection to the noise.

Go with the big electric. I have both a Hurricane and a Swift 550 Carbon and both of them are great.
