View Full Version : DX6i Battery Change Question
I was wondering if the model settings memory is powered by a separate internal battery or if they are powered by the AA cells? I would like to replace the stock rechargeables with some ENLOOP batteries, but I don't want to loose all my model settings in the process.
Thanks in advance!

You won't have a problem removing the batteries from your DX6i, none of your settings will be lost. My DX6i was included in my RTF B400 and it didn't have rechargeable batteries. I recently put in a set but I've had the batteries out of it for many hours without any problems.
I'm just guessing based on the "downloading" message it displays that the 10 model settings are stored in a flash/non-volatile memory and they're loaded into the operational memory when you power up or change models.
You're good to go!

Perfect! :)
That was just the answer I was hoping for! Thanks for the insight! The originals are fine, but I really like using these ENLOOP batteries for anything I own that uses rechargeables because they hold a charge longer and can be recharged a lot more times than the standard rechargeables!
I think I will pop the ENLOOPS in right now!
Cheers and thanks again for the prompt response!
