gy 401 gyro not working??

my 401 gyro red light is on and working but when i throttle up it spins on the ground faster and faster. it was working just fine until the crash. after i power up the esc. and the red light on the gyro comes on solid red. when i more the heli back and forth on the ground by hand the tail servo move as it should but still when throttled up she spins. do i need to reset the gyro, if so how ? :arggg:

I know you said it works on the ground but start fresh, you get used to seeing what you expect.

Give right rudder, the tail blades should move so as to push the tail to the left, if thats wrong reverse the rudder channel. Note which way the servo moves, in most cases it pulls the rod frontwards.

Pick up the head and turn the nose left (counter clockwise when looking down) and verify the servo does the same thing as when you give right rudder. This is easy to observe in HH mode as the servo wont keep recentering. If thats wrong reverse the gyro with the NOR/REV switch.

You mentioned a crash.
What did you break? Did you replace the boom? If so is the belt twisted only 1/4 turn and is the tail turning the correct direction (counterclockwise when looking at the right side of the heli)?

Sounds like you need to change the setting of the reverse switch on the GYRO.
