has anyone ever put a four stroke in a raptor 60? i have a 90 four stroke that is the best running glow motor i have ever owned. i had it on a 3d plane
and it had awesome throttle responce. anyways i was thinking about installing it in a raptor 60. can anyone give me any pros and cons or gearing possbilities. anyhelp or suggestions would be great.

thanks

Almost impossible. You would have to have custom gears made, something about 6 to 1. The highest gearing available for your heli about 7.1 to 1 so assuming the max rpm for you motor is 12000 rpm and that's pushing it you will be limited to less than 1700 head speed. In addition overheating has been a major issue on every 4 stroke heli I've ever seen. All this plus a lower power to weight ratio is the reason there aren't many four stroke helis at you local flying field.
