Ernie,
Don't know about out your way. But I know pilots from the US go to events in the Ontario province. I would like to get out to Western side of Canada. I have never been and I am sure it would be a great trip. Maybe I can make one of the events out that way this summer.

Love to see you up this way David.
We have two events in Alberta at the moment, one just outside of Calgary and another up here in Edmonton. There is a first time event in Saskatchewan that looks like it will get a good turnout as well. BC has a few and one is large enough that they have brought the Jason/Todd Road show up the last few years.
Perhaps we'll get you up here where your money is worth more!!!

Yeah USD use to be worth a lot more. I use to love going over the border from Detroit into Windsor and playing the casinos. Few years ago could take $20-30 USD into the casinos and have a blast. USD is not worth as much these days.

Our Funfly in Saskatchewan is on the April 30 May 1 Weekend. Here is the site for all the info
http://sm5rc.dyndns.org/funfly/Default.asp
We're close enough for pilots from Minnesota, the Dakotas, and Montana to make it in a days drive. Would be great to make it an "Invasion"

Don't tell them about that Aarin!! Now they might show up and our chances of winning Jermeys canopy just keep getting smaller and smaller......
I'm telling Dave to take that website offline ASAP before more people find out about it!
Shhhhhhhh..... Shag's a secret.....

Jeremy's been bouncing some really sweet ideas for the canopy around. I'm definitly gonna have trouble giving it away.
Spittys gonna have to pay double for his tickets though, so that should help our chances

Glad to hear you guys are all pumped about it. I talked to Kev and Warren in TB the other night and they are pretty ramped up about it too. If you know any of the Calgary guys give it a plug with them, I don't know any of those boys, and haven't gotten any of them hooked on coming yet.
Anyhow hope I can deliver a worthy event for y'all

...and if not: aarin is listed as the event organizer so its his fault
(and if I have to pay double for tickets I'll send you my bill for site development and hosting -- have the ticket prices been decided yet?)

One great thing about Canada is that in the summers, our daylight lasts usually until 10:30 - 11:00pm every day. (Alberta anyway) so you can get out of work at 5 o'clock, drive to the field and still get 4-5 hours in.
Isn't sunset a lot earlier for you guy's in the south?

looks like there will be a lot more flying. it gets dark around here at about 5:30 pm. During the summer it stays dark till about 830pm.

Marcus, Are you still thinking Montreal or are you able to make it to SHAG in Saskatchewan?
It's early in the season being April 30 -May 1st but there is still time to make it. you never know, you may walk away with one of Jermeys Canopies! That's worth the trip alone.
