So did anyone order the Pro version today? I got a email this afternoon saying that the heli was in stock and I had to buy one. Now I need to get a 401 combo and will most likey power it with a CC60 and the Century 600+ motor.

ready heli dosnt sell the regular CC80 only the HV version, that seems like alot of ESC for this heli. it also looks like it will be alot heavier with the heatsink than the regular CC80.
any thoughts?

Thats is true...the CC85HV is too much (heavy) for this bird. The CC60 should be fine.

Why not a CC 45 HV? its only 1 gram heavier than the 60
CC's specs say 12S lipo max, which is a 50.4 volt max and the say 45 amps continuous, so that would mean continuous watts with max volts would be 2268 watts, that does not include bursts
so this speed controller should be able to handle it no problem.

Why not a CC 45 HV? its only 1 gram heavier than the 60
but isnt the 45 only rated for 45A?
if the motor is pulling up to 55A wouldnt it not be enough... yes it can handle very high volts, but what about amps.
