I have to replace the blades on my cpp.I just got the dx6 with the AR6000.When I go to replace the blades How do you go about setting the blade pitch? Is it the same way as if I was using the stock tx,Throttle 1/2 throttle trim @ 1/2 ,idle up switch on?or is it all done by by the settings from the tx? Also is it alright to have the tx battery plugged in the charger while messing with all the settings?
Thanks all

no i wouldnt run the tx with it charging...

if you just replacing blades there is no reason to reset anything. just take the blades off and put the new ones on.. if your setting up your dx6 to use with the blade i have posted a good amount of stuff on it..here in this section.. the pitch servo plugs into the aux channel on the ar6000. the other 2 plug into rx with the matching names. ail ele. then i think the ccpm settings will be on 2,3,6.. you want it to be in this order -80,+80,-35
2 , 3 , 6

once i get done messing my the set up for my rex will look at my settings.. how far along in the programming are you

I am not that far along.I used some settings that people pm me to get me close.Do you know what the other set of wires on the charger are for?

rx pack
if you run a pack for the rx and servos and gyro.. you have to have a pack with the same plug thats on the end of those wires. otherwise it wont plug into the rx.. those wires just make it easyer to charge a rx pack

The other set of wires are for the receiver pack which is usually a 4.8 V 4 cell NiCad pack. I would NOT use it on just any battery pack that has the same plug. Especially not use it on any LiPo batteries.

well ya not on lipos.. but i figured that if it was a rx pack to begin with that it wouldnt matter. aslong as the wires match to the rx charge lead... thanks for the correction

I think that I am getting the dx6 figured out :D .I still have a few ? left that I hope someone can answer
1) When the heli just has lift off ,the heli will do a complete 180 degree turn.I start off with the tail in and just after lift off the nose is in ,I am sure it would keep going but I shut it down. What adj would fix this?I have the g90 on it.The 3in1 and the g90 are set to the direction that came with it.
2) is there still a need to adj the gain trim pot on the 3 in 1?

3) How long are you getting on the battery in the tx befor recharge? I only get about 1/2 ot 3/4 of an hour befor it needs to be charged I am alittle frustrated because as soon as I think that progress is being made I have to stop and charge the battery :arggg:

Thanks all

the tx battery in the dx6 does get used up fairly quick.. there is some mod you can do it fix it.. but from what ive got when i looked into its a risky mod to do. like you can screw up the radio. if you want longer run times.. go buy a eflite 3s 1000ma lipo and cut the plug off the tx battery and solder it onto the lipo.. your going to have to remove your pack to charge. do not charge it with the charger that came with the tx..

now to your first question.. wich way is it spinning ? helis want to spin to the left.. so that nose spining to the left and the tail going right.. if your heli is doing a 180 with the tail moveing to the right.. then you need to adjust your gain on the g90.. understand this the 3n1 needs to be atlest repalced with a esc.. the tail is going to drift as the pack is used. the longer you fly more the tail drifts.. i get next to nothing in tail drift with the stock pack since putting a pixie 20p as the tail esc..

a few things to remember that i learned last night

idle up high stick is preset to 100% and is not adjustable... so you only have the options to set the throttle curve in idle up for low stick and then mid stick.

pitch and throttle curves 0% is full - pitch or no throttle . but in idle up 0% at low stick is 100% throttle... when you trim the bird out, if you land to make the trim adjustments do not hit throttle hold... you will change the trim in throttle hold but not in the flying modes.. so just land make a few clicks then light off. once you get the bird trimed. you need to copy those settings to idle up and throttle hold. simple, if your going to do in the house.. unplug the motor. wirte down the trim settings from normal mode, then flip it into idle ( wich is why the motor needs to be disconnected) then copyt he trim settings. then flip throttle hold and copy them again. once down no matter if your in normal mode, idle up, or throttle hold. the bird will be trimmed..

Hello all,
txflyer,The yes the nose goes to the left and the tail to the right.

So I started all over programming ,The first thing I did was to reset the tx.then I the subtrims to get the servo arms as close to 90 degrees from the servo, then leveled the swash plate, set travel adj, then to the ccpm mixing as soon as I ccp on ,is when I noticed that the arm on the pitch servo dropped down alot which inturn made the swash plate not even close to being level.I screwed around with the setting but nothing seamed to help. Still also having problems with the heli spinning180.
What am I doing wrong?????????? Any ideas?????? :dontknow
Thanks all
