servo arm

In the Swift 550 manual,it states the elevator servo arm (pg.19) should be 20-22 mm from center of ball to center of servo arm hole,but there is only 18 mm clearance to the pitch servo case.What am I missing? todd :dontknow

Sorry for the poor quality of the pic but I hope it clarifies my problem.If I reduce the length of this arm from the recommended 20-22 mm, would I have to shorten the other cyclic servo arm lengths proportionately also?14 mm is all I can get and that will just clear the servo below.

Don't you make the servo arm exactly as long as the elevator push-pull arm? That 20-22 is for the plastic Swift I think.
