We will be holding an event at Hodges Hobbies the last weekend in October.

http://www.ircha-se.com (forgive me, I have ot go through a domain name change. Until then, this is where you go for info)
The site still has last years event on it. I'm working to get it moved to another domain and updated since it isn't the SE event :-(

Mac also holds a Fun-fly event the prior weekend so if you want to come up and enjoy 2 weekends of fun, come on down!

I'll have pictures and information posted soon.

I have been asked by IRCHA to remove the event posting

If you have any further questions on the matter please direct them to your IRCHA officers

Terry,
I hope your still going to hold an event at Mac's on that weekend. It has been a great event the last couple of years for the south Georgia area. Attendance was growing larger each year. Hold a heli event at Mac's as originally planned.

Is there a PC way of saying what the problem is?

I will try.........but don't shoot the messenger. Terry told the IRCHA guys he was not going to be as active this year and it was either assumed he was not having the event or either the interest from other parties to host the event, has IRCHA officials looking for a different place. The time slot has always been around the same time as I was doing events at Mac's when Terry and Rob Jones took on the initiative to take on the responsibility of putting on the first IRCHA SE. We still have the time slot and as I told Terry in the beginning if he decided not to do another IRCHA event there, we would still have a Heli event there, providing it was approved by Mac Hodges everything.
I hope who ever is hosting Ircha SE realizes we are still having the event at Hodges and I hope they don't announce conflicting dates. Thanks to Terry and Rob for doing a great job and good luck to folks hosting the event this year. I am sure they will post everything soon.

Thanks for the info Clint.

As I said in the other IRCHA SE post I'll do what I can to support Terry and the funfly at Macs. Prefer that is be renamed though as I'm not joining IRCHA again. ;)

Clint is correct,

I sent an email to the board a while back saying that I would not be able to be as active in the heli community this year due to a change in jobs and having to sell a house and purchase a new one. It was assumed I was not doing an event. I never received an acknowledgement from any one and ASSUMED they understood.

I posted the IRCHA SE dates and was contacted via PM on helifreak and asked to remove the post. They thought I was not doing the event and have obviuosly discussed holding the event at alternate sites with alternate people.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT I HAVE PUT ALLOT OF WORK INTO GETTING AN EVENT READY AT HODGES HOBBIES. AS LONG AS MAC APPROVES THE NAME CHANGE WE WE STILL HOLD AN EVENT AT THE SAME TIME JUST CALLED SOMETHING ELSE.

I will post a new event as soon as the detials are ironed out.

I appreciate all the kind words.

I can assure you there will be an event at Mac's

I can also assure that IRCHA will represent the SE
From what I understand they have received several "bids" for the event

All these posts and I STILL don't know where the event is. Would be nice to know the state/city in the title so it shows up in the calendar.

if anyone's motivated please shoot me a pm where this event might be. Thank you in advance.

I'm working on getting a new domain name, and moving the site there but in the meantime you can go to http://www.ircha-se.com

It will have directions to the field, hotel information, and local attractions for the wifes and kids that want to get away from copters?!

I would love to attend this event as I love Mac's place. However, it seems that my daughter that lives in Corpus Christi, TX is due to deliver her first child around that time and Grand Ma ain't a gonna miss seeing that young 'un as soon as possible. I guess I will have to go and visit Ron Lund instead.

Have a great time guys and think about me.

It doesn't need replies. Terry does an excellent job with this event. And there is no better place for an event than Mac's.

The only reason I did that is because people have been asking if the event will be held this year. I'm assuming they checked the event forum and didn't see it on the first two pages so assumed it wasn't going to happen. Some people (like me) haven't been flying long enough to know about Hodges unless someone has told them or they saw it in the event forum.

Many of us are really looking forward to this event! Despite the crappy weather last year Mac's was definetly a great time and everyone made the most of the time there!
