Guys,

just got done playing with this nifty little tool. basically its a cool little concept using carbon fiber plate. It centers your swashplate at 0 degrees pitch to keep your bellcranks 90 degrees so you can setup your linkage rods perfectly parallel.

cost from Custom Heli Parts is slated to be under nine dollars.

Looks good! Thank god this wasnt another swash leveler or I would have shot ya ;)

Yes I like a tool like this as it really does speed up the process of getting the links right from the servos to the swash. I have one for my 450 too and n00bs can really get the swash links set up fast with one! Takes the guess work out of finding the proper swash height and on this heli gets the servo link right (swash height cannot be changed on this heli as the bell crank links to swash arent adjustable).

John, which motor is that in the pictures, doesn't look like a Z30 and I thought the new Gaui motor had gold ends like the current 880kv motor.

no, that is the real deal, the GAUI prototype 1500 watt high torque motor, which we will have a limitied supply of early Sunday or Monday (left Taiwan today)...same motor being flown in our videos using revco primary/secondary and 22t hard one pinion...its connected to the GAUI 75 amp esc.

Interesting, a UK dealer is selling a new Gaui motor, 855502 Brushless Motor ( KV 1100 ), is the the same beast?

http://trex450.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=121&products_id=2193, shown with gold ends which looks uncannily like the stock motor! I'm guessing the picture hasn't been updated yet.

as Finless said, its not familiar to us as well.

We will have Century 600 Outrunners tommorrow, Z powers asap (as soon as gary responds) and we are also looking at a new company who makes motors...plus the 1500 watt gaui motors which should be arriving here in a few days from taiwan.

Adrian is not the creator, Dan Rupp from Custom Heli Parts deserves the credit here...if you have such sophistication in CNC routing at home, then surely you own digital micrometers or calipers to establish zero degrees.

just asking the question as its not cost effective to order from the States from Malaysia due to postal cost and also the high risk of things going missing in the postal system here. (ask me how i know this)

I can understand your argument, point taken

no offense intended

Honestly.,.. while this tool will be helpful, just watch my vides and use the frames to get the servo setup! It really is easy and not that tuff.... Since some links cannot be adjusted the process is much easier than say a Trex450, 600, etc...

This tool just makes it go faster but certainly NOT a "must have" tool.
