Is anyone having trouble getting it built square? I dont seem to be able to get it where Im satisfied with it. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks Lenny

Leave the frame to bearing block screws loose. Same with the lower frame brace. Without any fuel in, hit the starter a couple quick bursts and then start tightening. Don't get it completely tight, hit with starter again and finish tightening.
Is that what you are talking about?
When I put the frame halves together, I leave them loose and slide the head assemble in the bearing blocks. Everything thing is nice and smooth rotating at this point. When I start tightening the frame screws the right front corner starts to raise off the building table and the smooth rotation goes away. I think the problem is in the bearing blocks. Thanks Lenny
Someone else has had to of had this problem also.

I had this problem at first. I loosened and tightened screws dozens of times, seemingly to no avail, until all of a sudden it seemed to fall into place. I was most successful when I left absolutely everything loose and then started to tighten from the bottom up, working my way from the front towards the back and then up. I can't say that I ever got it absolutely 100% square, but once I got the landing gear on, any misalignment was unnoticeable and I didn't have any problems with the shaft rotating in the bearing blocks.

I'n quite surprised that no one has noticed this!
The problem is that the hexagonal shafts in the bearingblocks are too short! I had exactly the same problem. Because the shaft is too short, you will warp the bearingblock for a little bit when tightening it. It warps in the length so there is a great force on the bearing which causes a deformed bearing. And THAT's what you feel. It isn't an alignment issue.
This can be solved by using a 5x3x0,5 mm washer. One washer into each bearingblock before the shaft goes in.
Tried this at home and was very succesfull!!
The washer are pain to get, but Thundertiger sells them under PV0271

I found during the build - see my build thread, that it was impossible to have the main shaft in alignment AND have the baseplate square so I settled for ~1.5mm out of parallel alignment for the bottom of the frames and kept the main bearing blocks in good alignment - intertsting idea about the hex shafts being too short - I'll look at that next time
Do the washers take care of the frame twisting as well?
