I'f managed to get this capture...The canopy seems loose, while the rotorblades are still in place...If you look at the movie, it's more an explosion then a crash. My suggestion is that the canopy came loose and hit the blades

The translation from the French comment of the pilot is that the belt inside the tail broke (I hope these are the good terms)

I agree with Bob! If you look carefully, you can see the loose blade in front of the wreckage sticking in a piece of the canopy.

I also vote for canopy going through the blades. That is what it looks like to me.

SAW this happen to a 450 a couple of weeks ago. Same result. No, not me... This time. ;)
Canopy came loose in flight. "I didn't know canopy grommets were that important".

WOW ...great video. I bet that was frustrating.
...but I was LMAO when I saw it. I never saw a heli explode in mid air!
