OK, let's see what you all have done for the tail control rod on the Hawk.

I am just building a new Hawk Pro and the tail control rod (TCR) is very stiff. Doesn't matter how or where I am putting the loops and if I take a loop out, the TCR will bend when the servo puts pressure on it. Are you guys/gals using this TCR?

Is there a better setup? Does this one work fine, I am just doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Lane

Actually, after disconnecting the rod from the tail, it is pretty loose. The tail pitch control is tight and does not slide very smooth. Anyone else have this issue? How did you loosen it up?

I can't remember exactly what I had to do but mine was stiff also. (raptor too) and I had to make adjustments to remove the stiffness.

You want it to be as loose as possible without any slop (or compromising its integreity).

I'd make sure the screw/bolt holding the tail slider in place is not too tight and preventing the tail slider from moving. If the tail slider is fine check the tail pitch slider to see if it is binding.

In the time I have been trying different things, it is actually loosening up. I am going to pickup a CF rod and run straight from the servo to the tail. I checked and it's a straight shot. I did this on my Corona and it works very well.
