Hi,
To follow the procedure of the producers, you should :
1 switch on the transmitter
2 connect the receiver's battery
3 connect the motor's battery.
Doing the -3- there a spark on connecting. :oops:
Is it 'normal' ?
If I follow another procedure :
1 the transmitter
2 the motor's battery
3 the receiver's battery;
there is no spark which seems preferable.
What is your opinion

A spark when connecting the motor battery is normal. It is worse when using higher voltages.

You should definatley connect the reciever battery first. You don't want the esc to arm and start turning the blades while you are holding it. Not likeley but it would be ugly if it did.

I had this simular problem which I fixed by installing a arm switch from Maxx Products [ www.maxxprod.com ], product #6970.I hope this helps.I used this on my Trex 600.

Keep one thing in mind. Even a switch will arc (spark) when connecting and disconnecting, you just don't see it........
