Holy cow. Character confirmed. Well, I can say this. As a business owner, if my driver were accused of DUI, he'd be out of a job. No second chances, no pity parties.

As a former law enforcement officer who pulled parts of men, women, and children out of tree limbs, gutters, and bridge abutments due to DUI related wrecks (DUI is no accident), I have as much concern and respect for a DUI driver as I do for a piece of sh*t stuck to the bottom of my shoe. In fact, they rank even with a child predator in my opinion. LE officers don't "mistakenly" charge someone with DUI, at least not if they want career longevity or live a suit-free life. DUI drivers don't have respect for others, so they get zero respect from me.

I just googled the address listed on that county record, and it seems to match the addy for your business John. So there's 3 others with your namesake, and one of them just happens to live with you? I just hope someone else didn't get injured if that photo of your red truck was related to a DUI.

With regards to the DUI charge, everyone should understand that fortunately in the US we are innocent until proven guilty. Like Greg mentioned law enforcement officers do not generally "accidentally" cite someone for DUI, so most likely there is evidence of a DUI. How much evidence and/or how accurate it is we do not know. The prosecutor will take the evidence and move it along.

Roger, there may be a saying in the US court system that states people are innocent until proven guilty. However, with regards to a DUI, the only reason lowlife scum DUI offenders walk from charges is because they:

A. Paid a significant amount of money to a slimeball defense attorney who took advantage of part B:
B. The officer or someone within the department or forensics lab (anyone within the chain of custody of evidence) made a technical error
C. A corrupt officer intentionally made a false arrest out of spite/ignorance/etc, and the offender truly is innocent.

I've never personally known of anyone walking because of part C. So someone may be released of charges, but that doesn't excuse or dismiss the initial actions which brought about the arrest. In my all my DUI arrests, nobody walked. In a few cases, the cockroach didn't survive, so no trial ever took place.

And it doesn't matter who you are. If you're a friend of mine and I find out you're a DUI operator, later days loser. Our relationship is over. I don't intentionally associate with DUI operators. They're scum of the earth in my opinion.

So lets see, I posted a link to a Public Record that is on the internet. That is the Adams County, Illinois public records. You might ought to get your lawyer to talk to the people of Adams County about making the records that are open to anyone to look at or link attack.

So long as one states fact and nothing more, public record being fact, it will be very difficult to sue and receive damages for libel or defamation of character.

Posting false information with malicious intent CAN be sued for. Posting factual record and/or personal opinion is not libel.

For instance, you cannot say "John Doe is a drunken fool who kills people when he drives", but you can say, "John Doe has been cited for driving while under the influence and according to public record has a history of speeding". You could even say " I think John Doe is a drunken fool" because that is personal opinion which is protected under the 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

No one here is libeling or defaming you. What IS happening is you come on here and give us really funny lines like it wasn't you, and the police made a mistake, etc. My guess is saying things like that don't help you at all.

I feel John, it is best if you were to just let it go. Go to your court hearing and if in fact this is all a mistake then you can come back and inform us and we can all see it via public record.

You claim to be the only one along with WGEM-TV itself to use the "WGEM" trademark. Let me ask you then, why when I contacted 3 separate people at WGEM I was told you are no longer affiliated with WGEM and have not been for some time?

Why do you say you are still in partership with them? I am sure you are going to come back and say that I am lying. That is fine. I think that is in your nature to do that, but anyone can contact WGEM and see for themselves.

I'm not sure this is any of your business because I sell equipment not myself but I will explain a small amount. We had a contract with WGEM to be exclusive to them which was fine until our EMS director became paid by the state of IL. Now it became a problem because he needed the service but we couldn't work for a station exclusively. He can't be bias in any way.

We had to choose to stay with WGEM 100% which would put emergency services in a corner where they would have to let KHQA and KTVO know what was going on at the same time to be fair.

I decided then we worked with the NWS and the SPC so why not just run AirFoil for everyone and any station can use the footage which let the EMS director the ability to call us without worrying about helping one more than the other.

Everyone now uses our video and still shots and we don't have to answer to a company other than being on call.

You really have no idea what you are talking about but rest assured you jumped in a mess. You are hiding that's fine. We found David Harkey we will find you.

You are sick enough to contact WGEM. Last time a guy did this they called me to find out if he was mentally unstable. Not kindding.

I do want to apologize to the guys really into aerial video and photography that had to read this crap. I have had no dealings with David Harkey site administrator so I'm not sure why you would start a thread like this. We will find out why but I do apologize for the BS you had to read through for nothing.
