The build for my T-rex is going extremely slow. Work, family, and my excessive over-engineering are taking it's toll.
I crossed over to the dark side and started flying the simulator planks ..... the Flying Wing in particular. This really helped me with my orientation problems and I really started to relax and enjoy myself. I got to the point where I was flying and not thinking about what my thumbs were doing ..... and this was a great feeling.
I ordered a Spektrumized RTF Speedwing Mini EX from Helifreak Accer and guess what ..... I can fly it pretty darn well. I've flown 3 times and have done really well. I flew last night as a guest at a local AMA field and my sponser (who flys a Zagi Wing) said I already fly as good as some of the regular Club pilots. He wants me to come fly at the Thursday evening trainer night and see how I do on a 3 axis control glow-fuel plane.
Phoenix ROCKS! I can't wait for the new release.
Yes my heli flying has greatly improved as my orientation skills have progressed. I find switching back and forth no problem at all.
