What kind of connector and battery should i use to run my RX when im binding my dx-7 and setting up my servos? I have some 800 MaH Li-poly's i could use but the output connecter is not the type that will fit into the battery RX slot. can i convert it and make it work or should i just buy a NIMH battery w/ the correct connecters allready on?

I just use the pack that came with the radio. Sounds like you may not have gotten one with yours though. I got the Airplane model because they were out of the Heli model and perhaps the heli one doesn't come with a pack.
Really, any receiver pack will do. I can't see changing the connector on a LiPo unless you have no other use for it. If it were me, I'd just buy a regular NiMh or NiCD receiver pack.

well my TX came with a 9.6 volt battery... with a connecter that has 2 female holes to fit into the TX battery connector.
The connector that you need to bind with has a spot for 3 female holes. So i cant use the one that came with my TX.
How many batteries did your dx-7 come with? Mine just came with the one for the RX.

My Heli DX7 came with TX and RX batteries. I used the RX battery to bind it and tested the included servos before I sold them.

joskibob,
Which receiver did your DX7 come with? The AR6100 or the AR7000. I got the Heli microlite version and it did not come with a receiver battery either. But I have purchased an AR7000 to go in my 600N bird which did come with the receiver pack. I think Spektrum only ships the pack with the DX7 and the AR7000 kit.
