It looks like HH has been listening to us because this is EXACTLY what they needed! I am going to pre-order on from my LHS tomorrow!

Never pay attention to release dates that accompany a new product announcement. No sense getting your hopes up and then being all pissed when the inevitable happens.

Can anyone provide a timeline of the last few anticipated and actual release dates for Blade products?
Thanks

When was the original release date of the 450x?

No clue. The SR was a 2-4 months delayed, the mCP was at least a month. I had no interest in the mSRx, 120SR, or 450's so I never followed them.

To be honest I don't mind the delay. Don't get me wrong I want the 130x and the 300x. But I hope HH takes note of the mcpx part problem with nothing in stock. I hope parts for both of these birds has parts in stock. Mcpx has some parts out there that are just not to be find anywhere. Please HH have parts for these to birds. And make sure the bugs are worked out of them before you throw it out there. I don't mind the wait if it is done right.

Parts are gonna go fast. Blade always underestimates its customer's ability to quickly break things. Especially with people talking about hoping it's durable, just watch the promo with James video and not once does he mention it taking crashes well. The HH guys on here seem to be careful in not making it out to have mCP style durability. I can guarantee that there will be parts shortages for a little while from both people stocking up on spares and people chewing through them with wreck less abandon.

Nothing pisses a guy like me off more than a commonly broken part like blades for example not being available and my heli sits there waiting...it feels like the whole purchase was a waste of money when a 6-10 dollar part goes weeks with no signs of availability. Might as well the whole heli be in the bin.
Not sure this problem resides only with Blade. I've been seeing this more and more with quite a few manufacturers, even big names everyone would recognize, and in the r/c car realm as well. The slow boat from China must be just that, really slow.

When was the original release date of the 450x?
IIRC....it was January 2012.....it was moved to "Early Feb." -- then "Late Feb." -- then "Mid-March".......at that point, word came down during the last week in February....that the "official" release date was to be March 1st.......as it happened, that last one was the "charm"!!!!:clap
So....if you're an eternal optimist.....HH actually BEAT their latest ETA....by about 2 weeks!!
Remember.......the biggest cause of the last delay was the Chinese New Year, which kept parts production stalled out for weeks!!!
Confidence is HIGH that HH WILL meet their ETA on BOTH the 300X and 130X!!
But.....you never heard that from me........!!!:rotf
Meantime.....with whatever you have....
Happy Flying!!

Because then we would have people saying:
"this thread is depressing me.
Why couldnt they put a torque tube on the 130 ?
recall, this "torque tube" is a wire. It actually does twist some :bacon. That will help a lot I bet.

Lol.
I'm thinking of replacing all the carbon fiber with wrought iron, and the canopy with a hand-flattened tin one...
Looking forward to getting one, all the same.

I thought a belt would be better too. Then I saw posts by guys with Walkera experience. HH done good! This heli came at a perfect time for me though. Finally pushing myself and the MCP to the limits. I WANT IT NOW!
