Well I finally got my 600N Pro from Alignrcusa and as expected I will be doing a full build vid on this thing.

The FUN part is doing some vids on stuff I have never done vids on before!
Like setting up Gov's, engine tuning, fuel tanks, tubing and MAYBE even setting up a flight box for you electric guys coming over!
Dont you think it would be nice to know what to have for a starter, glow driver, etc instead of buying junk? I look forward to this!

Ed at GrandRC and I will be working on all kinds of stuff for this heli so stay tuned!

I am excited!

I havent had or flown a nitro since November last year (when I last flew my Vibe 90) but trust me I flew them for years so I dont expect too much to be different in 7 months ;)

Should be fun!

Hi Bob;
I can not wait to see the vid's on the 600N T-Rex. Your vid's has been a big help to me on the build of the 405se to the 600E T-Rex.
Thank you Bob, for your time and give back to this great hobby!!! :noteworthy :noteworthy

hehehehe no reason to give :noteworthy man...

You all should know by now I enjoy doing the vids! They are just too much fun for me!!!
Everyone should also know I cant afford ALL of this stuff so getting someone like GrandRC to sponsor me for vids, helps me bring you all these vids! I am sure I would eventually buy this stuff myself but you all would have to wait till then...
I guess I love to teach more than fly (well almost) :smokin:

The build's interesting but it's flying this bird that's really gonna get your juices flowing ..... I'm seriously pondering getting a 2nd but think I might build the HFX first :)

Welcome to the dark side again Bob, looking forward to the build vids.....

I'm ahead of you, it will take me about one more month to finish my build, only the best stuff is going into this heli.

I just started flying mine last weekend. Taking it nice and easy for not since it's not only my first nitro, it's my first heli that's bigger than the 450.

I'll still watch Bob's vids since they should be required viewing for anyone that has or is considering any of the helis he's done vids for. :noteworthy Who knows, I might learn something I didn't know during my build.

There are very few things I think need to be pointed out in the build;
correct installation of the thrust bearings in the grips, even though it's pretty clear in the manual.
Installing the torque tube bearing holder without popping the damn bearing off (Alcohol spray inside the boom works)
Routing the upper servo wires away from the starter coupling.
how to manipulate the zip ties to tie off all the servo wires through them damn itty bitty holes.
How to conceal the wood after the first flight. :wink:

I just got mine, how long do these take to build, only built EVO 50's before and they took about 12 hours.

I'd say about 8 hours - 2 for the head - 2 for the frame - 2 for the tail and engine assembly and 2 for the radio install and setup.

It is a very quick build except when you need to stop the video camera, render a file then find a host. I have spent about 4 hours building mine and its pretty much done but i dont video. I admire John and Bob who go to the trouble to record this stuff to share knowledge, i can only grimace at how much time it must take to do well.

Bob, please use Hatori 522 :) I want to hear what it sounds and compared it to mine just to see if I have fine tuned mine.

:lolol :lolol :lolol but oh so true.
Dont forget to add about an hour if your Not using the gv1 sensor!! Gettin' that right about made me :arggg: :arggg: :arggg: besides that , a beautiful build!
Speaking of the zip ties do yourself a favor and put a small piece of fuel tubing on each one to rest against the wires. And they dont need to be super tight. when glueing the magnets drill a little weep hole (tiny) in the bottom of the cup excess epoxy (2 ton )will weep out and give it a better bond. Dont use CA guys.

If I am on a roll I can do a complete video build end to end in a week doing about 4 hours a night. Again thats when I am on a roll and FEEL like shooting vid every night. Average is 2 weeks.

Yea John is pissing me off man... He is getting good at what I thought I was good at ;)
