I'm thinking of buying Phoenix off ebay. He lists the futaba adapter only. I have a DX7 and think I need the JR adapter. Can this work? Do I need to buy the JR adapter?

Thanks...

You will need some sort of FUtaba-to-JR adapter cable to allow it to connect to the 3.5mm audio socket on the back of your DX7

Does such a thing exist?

Actually check the Phoenix website, I think when you buy a Futaba version it is actually the JR version with a JR-to-Futaba adapter so you should be OK. Or ask the eBay seller if the Futaba plug comes off leaving a 3.5mm mono plug exposed.

That's how I read it as well but here's what he said:

Q: Does it also include the JR cable? Jul-06-07
A: no, this only comes with the futaba plug adaptor. I only got to choose one when I purchased this. Futaba is what I chose to use.

I tried messaging him but he hasn't answered...

I thought anyone who owned the thing would be able to answer this one... I should've emailed Phoenix or something.

I think the clue is "Futaba adapter". The standard Phoenix cable has a JR/Spektrum plug on the end, take a look at their website.
