Can anyone tell me the complete differences between each of these helis?
My point is I am looking for a cheaper alternative to my current setup, and the 550 has an attractive price.
I am however looking to mod the frame for A123 and obviously stretch it to 620 size.
Is it cheaper to go 550 and stretch, is the head the same? will the 550 head swing 620's?
The only diferences is the Yoke that I can see.
Thanks

The E550 has a plastic headblock instead of alloy, alloy lower frames instead of carbon, part plastic swash instead of all alloy and a shortend tail boom. The E550 will not swing 600 blades as stock, you need to use either a Raptor 50 boom for 600 blades or a Titan/E620 tail boom for 620 blades. If you have a Raptor 50 kicking around somewhere its pretty easy to use parts of this but otherwise you need to buy a few parts to stretch.
The swash isn't a problem as its much better on the optional 140 swash anyway.

Awsome info Steve Thanks!
I knew I had to stretch in order to use the 620's but wasnt sure if I needed to upgrade the head at all after the boom upgrade.

As I was intending to run over 2000rpm I went with the Kasama head from the start, a very good choice as it turned out as it really makes the heli come alive. If you want to swing 620 blades near 2000rpm I'd at least go with the alloy head block as the plastic blocks tend to work fine for a while then completely fail in one go.
The 140 swash has made the control system much crisper and more precise, the 90 swash is a kludge in my view, possibly to keep production costs down.
Good luck with your project, the E Raptors are much better helis than they are given credit for.
