I'm building mine now. Everything good so far except that the servo arm hits the bolt for the servo mount. I can't find m2.6 screws anywhere. I'm using hs85mg, gy401 & s9254, Hyper H3025-10, Hyper 80amp sbec esc. I got the steel landing gear and raised the rear have 68mm tr blades coming also, and an AR6200. Helidirect now has a manual it helps with the links

I put a spacer on the back of the landing gear and it raised the tail A LOT. I could use 85mm TR blades now. I did this to my T-REX to keep the tail out of the grass awhile back and it works great.

I finished my 3dx500 just these days and made some hovering flights. The tail is drifting counter clockwise with the GY-401 and S9254. Maybe to less headspped with my 3s-Setup (4400mah), but it moves to both sides by command pretty well. I ordered 68mm tail blades, maybe this solves the issue. And I will use a higher landing gear or lift the tail by putting a spacer in.
My cyclic servos hit a screw of the frame, so I simply made the screw flat. Now it works perfectly.
But I did not even dream the difference to a 450-Heli would be so big. I think I found my new heli number one. :D

If I change the blades for the ones Helidirect sells (68mm carbon) will they hit the ground ???
the vertical fin will be short?
Let me know
Thanks
Nuno from Portugal

The fin is already very short with the original blades so mine have scrateches. With the 68mm-blades you definitely should have a longer fin.

I have no idea. I am facing the same problem. Here (http://www.helifreak.com/download.php?id=27058) you can see a work around: Lifting the back landing skid and extending the fin.

HP 3025-10 and HP 80amp ESC with SBEC. I only have 3s batts now so I'll run a 26t pinion when funds allow I'll get some FMA 4s packs and go with a 23t. I moved the top tray to the bottom and put the AR6200 on it the second reciever mounts perfect on the rear servo with a little cutting for the antenea. I put some spacers on the rear skids and it lifted the tail a lot.

Hi guys.
Is the S9650 servo fits Ok to HDX/3DX frame or it requires some modifications ?
Can you post some tail servo photos ?
Thanks.

Getting Close now. I have my servo arms (metal) and Lepton servo mounts installed, Gyro and servo installed. Need to finish the head (pitch +10/-10 cyclic 6/6). And dial out CCPM interaction.
