Hi all,

Im thinking of upgrading from a DX6 radio to the DX7 radio. But im wondering if its worth it.
What is the point of having two idle up modes? dont most people just fly in idle up mode? and what is the point of having a five point throttle/pitch curve? dont most people use a linear curve? a linear curve is the same on a five point or a three point.
the built in timer is nice but are there any other advantages to the DX7?
should I just stick with my DX6?

Thanks

different idle up modes can be used to have different pitch/throttle curves for each mode. I fly with a couple people that run a "low" headspeed in normal mode, a "medium" headspeed in IDL1 and a "high" headspeed in IDL2. Depends on what you want to do.

5 point curves give you that much more flexibility in setting up the heli.

I have very limited experience with the DX6 and not much more with the DX7, but I prefer the programming of the DX7. It just "feels" easier to me..

If your Tx is working for you, why switch? I got my DX7 as a gift and only have 1 heli up on it.. I still prefer the feel and programming capability of my trusty old 9C and don't know if I'll convert everything over to 2.4Ghz or not
