I have a x400 with a telebee gyro. When I take off the tail is solid but soon after the heli goes into a slow spin to the left and even with full right stick applied the spin continues. Is this an electrical problem or is there some adjustments to make in order to solve this problem. Thanks

Sounds like you need to increase your gain.

I have the same problem think20, Im using a GY401... so I have to increase delay to raise the gain ???

im not sure.
any advise with the 401 would be appreciate :)

That would depend on the radio I guess. I've only set up a 401 on my DX7. In that radio, there's a "Gyro Sens" menu and in it you set the gain for the gyro. There are 2 settings available for different sensitivities (or can be configured for HH or non-HH mode if you set it up as such) and the gain percentage is set here. The 401 gyro's gain is controlled in the transmitter. There's no external pot like there is on the GY240.

Honestly, you ought to check out the vids section. Finless posted a great video on setting up the 401 and Jermo has a great video on setting up the DX7 with a 401 as well.

thanks for the info.

So, by logic if the bird tilt nose left, opposite to main rotor, the gyro gain is set too high and over compensate the torque ???

am I right ?

(im a total noob, I appreciate any advice from you guys)

I'm not familiar with the Telebee Gyro. Are you sure the heading-hold is on? Also, I have only seen one reason for tail drift if a heading-hold gyro is working properly. That reason is excessive vibration of the gyro sensor. Always check for vibrations translating to the gyro. If so, try to increase the damping and, make sure any hold down strapping is not too tight.

Too much or, too little gain rarely (doesn't?) causes a drift to one side. Too little gain is usually seen by the tail jerking to the torque side under hard collective. Too much gain is seen as the tail hunting. Hunting causes the tail to jerk back and forth.

The telebee gyro is not very stable on the 400, you should consider switching out to the 240 or 401 for stability. I had the telebee on my 400 and had the same problems you are having and seeked help from Raven Darkcloud and he suggested the change out to the 240. But also you need to flip the reverse switch on the gyro.
