I connected the gov. (CSM RevLock) yesterday on my 90 and noticed two things:
I programed it so in normal mode I get 1450 RPM's but it seems very sluggish, is that the way it should be? Without the gov on I used to have quite more juice on normal mode, but I don't know what would be the best way, on one side it's good so I don't try to attempt inverted in normal by mistake, and it would force me to fly it in idle-1, but on the other side it doesn't seem to have enough power to get out of any critical situation.
Should I get it to rev a bit higher??? What you guys are hovering 90's at?(RPM wise).
I read about avoiding the 1600 rpm's due to head wobble.
And the other thing I noticed is that in that setup the throttle servo is hunting too much. Is it due to the engine being too rich? or is it normal at that head speed to hunt?
In idle-1 is working great.
By the way I'm running 8.27~1 gear rate
Thanks for any help...

Well, I think the answer came up to my head last night while doing other things.
Would I correct the gov hunting at mid speed just leaning the middle range needle? (currently 1 full turn open on OS SZ-H non pumped)
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I can tell you that if the motor is rich the CSM will hunt. Fly whatever rpm you're comfortable with in normal but 1450 is probably going to be sluggish.

The other thing you can do is turn up the gain on the gov if you dont think you are running too rich.

ok, thanks again. I'll see next time, but I guess it can be leaned out a bit at low/mid range.
I haven't fiddled with it much, I always read about these engines being a PITA to tune, that makes me feel like I'm not getting even near 100% out of them since they seem to run ok from the get go for me :dontknow.
That's the bad thing of not getting someone experienced to check it out, but on the other side I guess my engines would live longer (hopefully)
Anyway it seems to work good enough for my flying capabilities, I'll play a bit with the mid range needle next time to see if there are any changes, if not I'll do the gain thing on the CSM.
