Hi

Im thinking of getting two new batteries for my trex but I want to get something I can use on the hurricane 550 in the near future.

Im thinking of the flightpower evo lite 2500mah 18c 3s. Or should i go bigger and get two of the evo 2170mah 25c 3s? I also see the evo 2500mah 25c 3s but im not sure if this will fit on my trex?

any suggestions?

Thanks

Ummm it depends on how you want to power your hurri...
High power and even the 2500's are going to give you a short flight. Stock and hell yea the Evo 2500's will do well. So this is NOT an easy question to anser and it will depend on how you want to power the heli!

Im not looking to do any 3d, im not good enough, YET. But I dont want to have to re-buy as i get better.
Im looking at doing some flips and rolls but would like to get long flights as apposed to radical 3d.
I think i saw that you are using the century 600? Would you recommend this motor for my needs? When you say "Stock and hell yea the Evo 2500's will do well." Do you mean the new GAUI 1500 Watt 1100 Kv?

What motor and two 3s setup would you recommend for a somewhat beginner not looking to do hardcore 3d?

Thanks,

PS. Thanks for taking years off my learning curve :noteworthy

I would get some higher capacity batteries so that when you are ready you have a good set of batteries, also the more flight time you get the better you will be quicker. Check out www.readyheli.com, they have the brand new flight power EVO 30 3s 3200's in stock. this should give you lots of run time and when you decide to go to a higher output motor will give you more than 3-4 min of flight, also they are the same money as the TP3300 25c's which are also a good choice. Good luck.
