ya get a new pack.. thunderpower, flightpower, electrifly

for the tp and fp packs you need a new charger, 12v power supply, and a new balancer.

electrifly packs that have the same white balance plug as the eflite packs can be used with the stock eflite charger... its the electrifly POWER SERIES 3s lipos

Yep the new packs will help that tail drift a lot. Tx can teach ya all sorts of tricks to minimise that problem. The new packs are going to reduce that problem but not get rid of it all together. It is what it is.

the new packs will reduce the problem if you run the 3n1. if you dont and you use a better esc for the tail. it can pretty much get rid of it..

Thanks, I've been thinking real hard about getting the beltdrive upgrade.
BTW I've noticed that the CP has a 4in1 and CPP has a 3in1 which is better,
or any suggestion what to run?...

you don't need a 4 in 1 on a cpp. The belt mod is the best (imo) way to get rid of the tail issues on the cpp.

if money is a issue a esc an be had for 20 to 35 bucks. but if money isnt an issue.. belt drive all the way... but the better esc for the tail is still way better then a 3n1

having to adjust the trim as you battery is drained is normal. not sure what the wobble is tho...maybe your battery is not providing constant power? do you use a balance charger?

if you've got 100 or so to drop on your blade, definitely go belt. i don't have that kinda cash (not for my blade anyway) but have found that using the seperate tail esc with the direct drive (dd) tail does help to increase the tal performance considerably and for a lot less. dd tail kit is like $15-20, and the gws ics50j esc is like 13 bux at bphobbies. just do a search for 3-in-1 hack to find out how to hook it up to your 3n1.

again, if you can go belt do it...i am super jealous of those guys. but my belt tail heli is a t-rex hehe...

Well I just put an ALIGN RCE-500X Head lock Gyro on cpp and it as different as night and day, used 3 sffent packs and that's the most hovering I've done in 45 mins than I done all month.. WOW what a differance....
For thoughs who are haven't put one on yet I highly recommend it.

did you have the G90 before or did you got from the 3 in 1 gyro to this one?

I jsut went to this one, I think it can be used on the trex.
And it was cheeper than the G90 by $12...

I will use it when I goto the belt.

Cool. Let us know how it holds with the belt drive tail. The G90 holds well but has a very slight drift. I think I am going to try the Futaba GY240 and see how well that holds the belt tail.

I am going on R+R soon so I am going to have my Belt drive tail sent to the states and I will bring it back with me. I went with the brushless motor, because the weight of my CNC frame was alittle much for the stock. I have a G90 that is going on it as soon as I get my JTS connector and a soldering iron from somewhere. I dont think I want to drive to the local hardware store to get it. I really dont like gurgleing when I breath, and having your head cut off is hell on asmatha. I am getting what I can to up grade My CPP, but the batteries that I just got for my CX are GREAT. They are DN power and I got them from Boomtown hobbies. They are running cooler and give me more flt time as soon as I get some more data I will let everyone know.

LOL, funny I had always thought getting your head cut off was the cure for asthma. In fact its a cure for just about any ailment. LOL.
Yeah I can see how that would keep you from picking up a soldering iron.
What pinion is everyone using on their BL motor to power the CPP with the FSBM? I am currently using a 10t on a Park 370.
Also what are you'll doing to prevent the boom from moving? Seems like I have to pull the boom out to keep the belt tight every other flight. I have tried putting electrical tape around the boom at the clamp which was a waste of time and just made it worse. I suppose I could use CA but I like to avoid CA when ever possible.
I suppose I could drill a hole through the boom clamp and the boom, than insert a screw and nut and use the tale to adjust the tension sense it holds tighter.

or try ruffing up the boom with sand paprer. a heavy grit sand paper will leave scratches that under pressure will dig into the boom clamp. if you dont want to use ca, you could also try epoxy but you will need to let it sit over night at the correct tension. it will take alittle while to dry. debonder will also work alittle better on epoxy..

another random idea.. ca a very small strip of some fine grit sandpaper to the tail boom. then clamp it up as normal..

I took my dremel and sanded ribs into the boom all the way around the area that fits into the grip. It helps a little but it still can move. I am either gonna go with the CA route or I am gonna drill a hole and insert a screw and nut.
I am not too concerned about it right now sense my CPP is out of commission untill I am no longer poor.
