Hi All,

another noob question :

I always read that we should check for binding especially in setting up the tail .... what does that means?

any thoughts?

That every thing moves/rotates freely

Binding occurs mainly when the servo is moving further than the links will allow. Not only one servo but combinations too. Ensure not only that the servos dont over travel the link travel but ensure there's no binding when you have say full pitch and full cyclic in all directions (both positive and negative).

Another example is when you tighten down say a bell crank and cant move it with your finger, thats binding, if it slides up and down on the screw then its sloppy, you want to move freely or your servos eat up battery power too fast, but you dont want it sloppy or you will always be chasing the heli and never get a stable trim.
