that is one nice heli. At least this one isn't too much bigger than Justin :glasses2:

flighttimes? Anyway by chance we can see a vid of it flying soon?

Very nice looking Hurricane.

Where did you get the idea to mount your tail servo inside the frame like that? First time I have seen one mounted that way.

Are those the regular 25c TP Extreme cells?

Justin loves this heli as much as his 9s Trex600. We forgot to pack our camcorder but well get a video done this weekend at the SRW funfly. We got 2 flights in this evening. Flight time is comfotable 5min of hard flying.

That is how the tail servo is mounted in H550. I was going to mount it in the tail if it did not balance.

Yes they are 25c 3300mah TP Extreme cells.

links arent parallel from the servos???? You should have used the larger JR arms and I would be concerned of this little arms breaking....

Also that snot how the tail servo mounts.... See manual page 8. Clearly shows the servo arm OUTSIDE the heli. But I dont think that is a big deal as long as it works.

These little arms do break when you crash. More than half of the time They will break instead of the gears under jolt. I haven't had one fail in flying conditions. When it does, as in a crash, one arm will go but not both and there will be ample warning. I prefer replacing these over gears.

As for the Tail, I guess that is what the other guy was questioning. I saw a straight shot so I took it.

Well so be it with the servo arms but the links arent parallel and thus causes a geometry issue and possible stress to the output shaft bearing of the servos. The ball spacing on the servos should be the same as the bell cranks.
But hey... what do I know? :dontknow

Finless:

That is exactly what I would say to someone who built it like that.

I am relying on the strain of the rubber dampers on the servos, servo arms, ball links, frame to take up the slack. But you are absolutely right on slightly off geometry. That is another reason to go with arms rather than discs.
